About this course
Part of the Cochin Airport (CIAL) project this 18 hole course ( 9 holes operational – 9 more will up & running by 2012) is a new addition to the golfing circuit in Kerala.
This will be Kerala’s first 18 hole golf course & heralds a big step forward in this state for this sport. Known as the Soccer crazy state the opportunity & challenge for this course is building a Golf culture amongst the talented citizens of this state.
Located along the airport this course is a links style course with a heavy dose of water & strong winds to challenge even the most accomplished golfer. The 18 hole course when built should be atleast 7300 yards or more making it “possibly” one of the longest courses in the country.
The current 9 holes are already 3639 yards & with the clubhouse in place this is a must play course simply cause it’s the first 18 hole course in this state.
The infrastructure wrt the clubhouse & F&B amenities is in place. However in the next 12-24 months the club will be transformed with the addition of cottages, a swimming pool, tennis courts & other amenities. Memberships to this club opened in late 2010 & the first 1200 members were inducted within a record time.
